AP Games manufactured games starting in the 1930's. This is likely from the 1950's at it has the more complex style of character symbol. The original game would have come with 146 tiles - 144 tiles for playing using Chinese Rules and 2 spare tiles. This game has had other AP Games tiles added to be used as jokers. So this game has been converted to be playable for both Chinese Rules and National Mah Jong League (NMJL) rules.

AP Games' 1 bamboo tiles are very distinct and not found in any other manufacturer's games. This game has 8 flowers, 2 sets of fully sequenced bouquets numbered 1-4 with an additional 8 stickered joker tiles.

The game has aged unevenly over the years but because of the enormous variety of aging it would be almost impossible, for even the most talented Mah Jong player, to keep track of which aged tile is which - the large amount of aging in fact makes this game still very suitable for play.

The case is in sturdy condition with its original leather handle and remarkably little scuffing considering its age. There is some expected wear on the corners. The game comes with its original black wood racks. The racks even still have their original doubling table affixed.

No matter the style of game you play (Chinese or NMJL) this game is ready for play right out of the box !

REMEMBER: Despite my age I have many more years of life left in me ... I may be a little more worn than some games on this website but I know someone will still find me lovable :)
