This is a lovely little game by Cardinal Products Co of New York. It was manufactured in the early 1940's.

The game has 152 tiles and includes 16 natural flowers so it is immediately ready for NMJL (National Mah Jong League) rules or Chinese Rules and does not need stickers adding.

The dovetail style of game is the Bakelite version of bone & bamboo tiles. The design mimics the dovetailing seen where the bone & bamboo meet. They are extremely rare tiles and highly collectable and really lovely to play with. Burgundy dovetailing is one of the rarer colours that were made. I have not seen many of these games in my years of collecting.

There are 4 swirled Bakelite racks in minty green, butterscotch, forest green and banana/cream swirl. There are maching green swirled Bakelite E's on each rack. Tokens are included.

The game comes in its original Cardinal case. The case's Bakelite handle is working, strong and in great condition.
