This Chinese Bakelite game is called a "turkey bam" because of the design of the one bamboo tiles.

Chinese Bakelite is a term used to identify this style of game. These games were imported from China and are made of Bakelite - they pass the scrubbing bubbles test for Bakelite. Most of the Chinese Bakelite tiles have a sharper edge to them as this set does. The exception to this are the "pillow" style tiles. They have beautifully curved edges.

This game has 8 flowers, 2 sets of fully sequenced bouquets numbered 1-4. Plus 4 stickered joker tiles. The quality of engraving and the detail of the designs are very intricate. Chinese Bakelite sets are very popular these days.

The case is in very good condition and strong with its original leather handle. The case has a brown felt lining. It comes with its original black wooden coin bank - this tucks at the end of the tile storage trays. The racks are the original brown wooden style with matching metal E's. Tokens are included.
